MOVING DAY!!!

Our moving day went great Thursday, but we are both extrememly EXHAUSTED!!! I am so thankful that I didn't have to pack a single thing, because just unpacking is killing me. The movers arrived Tuesday afternoon around 3:00 to start packing our belongings and they packed until about 8:00 that night. They then kicked me out of my bedroom the next morning at 7:00 to finish packing and load the truck. They finally got all of our belongings loaded around 3:30 and headed to Mobile. I can't believe that almost everything we owned was on that truck!!
I also felt like I had Ty Pennington (off Extreme Makeover)in my backyard. Josh had a 9 pound bass fish that was hanging in our guest bedroom. Well little did we know, that the moving company would send a THIRD PARTY (as they called it) to our house to make this stuffed, dead fish a crate to travel to Mobile in. This man drove all the way from Prattville to make Mr. Fish a crate. He also treated us to singing and dancing in our backyard as he made this crate. He was HILARIOUS!!
I arrived home from work Wednesday to an EMPTY house!!! VERY EMPTY!!! All we had was a few personal belongings and 2 air matresses (that didn't work)! Here is the air matress story: Josh started trying to blow up the air matress Wednesday afternoon. Well, I got a call about 4:00. It was Josh, and he was very FRUSTRATED, because he had been blowing up the air matress for 30 minutes, and it wasn't going anywhere!! Needless to say, he didn't realize that the plug wasn't in the other end of the air matress, so of course the air was going in one end and out the other. So I borrowed an air matress from a friend to get us through the night!! BUT.... apparently while my friend was moving, this air matress got a hole in it and we were on the floor by about 2:00 that next morning. It was the WORST night of sleep ever!!! Besides not sleeping a wink that night, Josh got me up at 4:30 to load the car and head to Mobile!!
Finally, we arrived in Mobile Thursday morning around 8:00 or so. The movers started unpacking around 8:30 and finally left us with it around 2:00. They were a tremendous help and I am so very thankful for all that they did!! They did a wonderful job! After the movers left, we both just wanted to get a good, long, hot shower and take a well needed nap. BUT.....
unfortanetly our water heater was gas, and no one informed us of that until it was too late. So we had to take a COLD, VERY COLD shower Thursday, which was not fun at all. We finally got some HOT water Friday afternoon, just in time to take a shower before heading to the baby doctor.
Our baby appointment went great!! We really like my OBGYN and the hospital. We didn't get to see our little one, but we do go back in 2 weeks to do our first ultrasound. We can't wait to see our little cupcake and know that it is healthy and growing.
Josh and I visisted Woodridge Baptist Church on Sunday!! We went to Sunday School and Worship and met some great people!! The service was great!! We hope to visit a few more churches (Sonrise, Day Spring, etc.) around the area.
Well, I hope I didn't bore yall with my moving stories, but I am so glad to finally be, for the most part, settled in to our new home.
Just please continue to keep us in your prayers as we are searching for a church, as our baby grows, and as Josh and I are learning our way around Mobile!!

We Made It!!

Hello everyone FROM MOBILE!!! We arrived in Mobile around 8:00 this morning and have been on the go ever since. I am finally getting a little time to rest. Josh and I have been unpacking for what seems like days! The movers packed everything in wrapping stuff, I mean everything, even the medicine bottles. Anyway, I am hoping to get a post up here soon of our new house, but I don't see myself having time until atleast tomorrow night or the weekend!! Josh and I have a baby doctor appointment tomorrow at 2:30. So I will also get to update yall with new information about our sweet little cupcake!!! (That's its nickname for now, because I love CUPCAKES)

New Adventures!!

Well Josh and I are not only getting ready to move, but we are getting ready to WELCOME A PRECIOUS BABY into the world!! We found out Wednesday that God has blessed us with a sweet little poppy seed in my belly!!! We are overwhelmed with JOY, EXCITEMENT, and still a little bit of SHOCK!! But we can't wait to meet our little one! It is just so amazing to me how God works.

Before Josh and I even knew that we were expecting, we had decided that we weren't going to tell ANYONE, not even our parents. But when that time actually came, it was too good not to tell, so we called our parents Wednesday night and told them the good news!!! They are all thrilled to death, so thrilled to death, that they couldn't keep the secret for very long. I made some annoucements to surprise all of our family and friends with. The facial expressions were priceless!!!

I know the next question is "Have we got names picked out?"
Of course we do, FOR NOW!
If it is a girl, she will be named Madyson Kathryn Elliott, and we will either call her Maddie or Maddie Kate!! Josh likes Maddie and I like Maddie Kate!! If it is a boy, he will be named either Lawford Seth Elliott or Seth Lawford Elliott. I want to call him Lawford and Josh wants to call him Seth!! And if you're wondering where the names came from. I have always loved Madyson and my middle name is Kathryn, and I wanted my last name in the mix as well, and Josh's middle name is Seth.

EASTER!!!

I hope everyone had wonderful Easter Weekend!! It sure was a beautiful day!! Josh and I had a wonderful weekend filled with family, friends, and easter egg hunts!! We got up bright and early Sunday morning and attended the Sunrise Service at our church. We then joined my parents at Ino for some wonderful worship and a great service! After church, we joined my family for lunch and ate a fabulous meal and let the 3 grandbabies hunt some easter eggs!!! Josh and I ended the beautiful day at his family's house. We got to just sit, talk, and rest before going on our very own easter egg hunt!! It was a great weekend that went by way too quickly!!! Hope you enjoy the pictures!
