Nana and Grandma Come to Visit

Nana and Grandma came to visit Ella a few weeks ago!! Since Josh started back work 2 weeks after Ella was born, it was nice to have the grandmothers around to help. We enjoyed their help around the house, the good meals, and most of all just the visit. We were sad to see them go. Ella's First Christmas
This Christmas was a very special one. Josh and I were able to celebrate with our precious Ella. She was the center of attention, of course. We traveled home the Wednesday before Christmas and went back and forth between my house and Josh's house. Since this was our first road trip with Ella, we had many people waiting at home to meet her. On Christmas Eve, we started out at my Grandmother's and finished the night at Josh's Grandparents.

Then on Christmas morning, we woke up, opened our presents with Josh's parents, and made our way to Elba for Christmas with our family! We stopped at my grandmothers for Christmas lunch and finished the night at my house. It was a wonderful Christmas Day! Josh and I got up Saturday morning and headed to Niceville to have Christmas with his grandmother and aunts. They were all waiting for us to arrive so they could meet Ella!!

Ella was not very cooperative for these, maybe because she was hungry and it was a little cold for her diaper only shots!!

but, we did get just the perfect pictures for her birth announcement!

A few FIRSTS...

First, I can't believe my sweet daughter is already almost 2 weeks old!! Boy, oh boy, time sure does fly by when you're having fun!
After being stuck in the hospital for the first week of Ella's life and being stuck in the house this past week, Josh and I decided it was time to get her out.
Thank the Lord, the weather was beautiful the other day, so we took her for a stroll in our neighborhood. She loved it and it was nice to just get out of the house.
We also decided that we needed to go somewhere besides just outside, so here is our family before we went with some friends to the Texas Roadhouse the other night! Ella did great! Of course, she slept the whole time!!
Lastly, Ella went to church for the first time today.
Her bow kept coming off her head and she was not very cooperative. She was hungry and didn't care about getting her picture taken!

Ella Kathryn Elliott has arrived!!

It never crossed our mind that we would get to meet our sweet little girl on Tuesday! We went in for a regular checkup on Monday and she admitted me so they could keep an eye on Ella. My amniotic fluid was really low and they didn't want to risk keeping her in there any longer.
So... we met Ella Tuesday morning, December 1, at 8:42 a.m.
She weighed 5 pounds, 4 ounces, and was 19 inches long. We are all doing great and glad to finally have her in our arms.
Please keep us in your prayers as we are getting adjusted to a family of 3.
