Busy, Busy, Busy....

...that is what we have been up to lately!!!

Josh and I have been busy trying to get Ella's nursery all ready for her big arrival. We can't wait. Her glider is scheduled to be in tomorrow and hopefully that will finish up her room. We still have to hang a few things, but besides those two things, we are READY!!!
Josh and I were showered with more lovely things for Ella. His family gave us a shower Halloween day and it was wonderful. We got lots of good stuff!! Where I'm going to put it all is my only concern!! Our house is alot smaller than the one we moved from, so we don't have as much closet space or storage space. Poor Ella has to share a closet with Christmas stuff, office stuff, and no telling what else!

She even got her first Alabama cheerleading outfit!! I had to post this picture for all of our Alabama friends and family!! She can wear it when she goes to her nana and papa's house (my parents)!!
On another note, Josh and I made a trip back to our Alma Mater for Homecoming. We haven't been back to Auburn for a football game since we graduated and we were very excited about getting away for the weekend. We stayed with some friends of ours and even got to sit in Club Level seating at the game, which was a real treat, especially for a preggo lady who can eat a whole lot. I was able to eat and eat and eat and not ask Josh for a single dime!!! :)

We were welcomed with WAR EAGLE love...
by our wonderful friends, Mark and Misty!
Can you pick Josh out among the crowd at Toomer's Corner? This was our first time participating in the rolling of Toomer's Corner and I think Josh thoroughly enjoyed it!
By this time, I was very exhausted from walking all day, so I struck a pose....
we struck a pose, and off we went to get rested up!!

We had a great weekend. It was actually our last little getaway before Ella arrives.

Have I mentioned, Josh and I have been blessed with some great friends here in Mobile. We have a wonderful church family at Woodridge and they have helped us adjust to the city life. Some of our friends showered us with gifts this past Sunday. My mom even got to join me and the ladies for an afternoon of cake, punch, and good fellowship.

While the ladies were talking, Josh and my dad were fishing!! They caught all kinds of fish, from croaker, to white trout, to flounder! So a great time was had by all! I always enjoy having company at my house to entertain! Now as I wrap up my long post, I want to wish my wonderful husband a great, early 25th birthday! We are going to celebrate all weekend, but his birthday isn't until Saturday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE! I LOVE YOU!

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving. During this Thanksgiving season, I want to share with you what I'm thankful for.

  • I am very thankful first and foremost for my Savior who loves me no matter what.
  • I am also thankful for my wonderful family, who have helped shape me into the person I am today. I only pray that I can be as good of a parent as my parents were to me, raising me in a home that knows the LORD!
  • I am also very thankful for being blessed with such a fabulous husband. He means the world to me and I don't know what Ella and I would do without him. I know he is going to be a terrific dad!
  • Last but not least, I am thankful for the wonderful blessing that is growing inside me. Too many people take the miracle of a child for granted.

I could go on and on about what I'm thankful for, but those are just a few. What are you thankful for this season?

I am very thankful for my Christian husband of 37 years, my two children who know Jesus as their personal Saviour--My wonderful christian son-in-law who had added blessings to our family. And, I am especially thankful for my first grandchild, Ella Kathryn due December 23, 2009. I am very thankful that while everything in this world seems to be going crazy, I have the blessed assurance of my Saviour's love and protection. Thank you Lord for "all my family".. Love Yall--Mother
