Our sweet Ella turned 6 weeks old Tuesday! Time sure does fly by when you're having fun!! She is getting more of a personality each day.
- She has been holding her head up really good for about a week now. It won't be too much longer and she will be holding it up all by herself.
- At her last doctor visit (last Monday), she weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. That is a whopping 1 pound and 7 ounces more than her birth weight. She is just getting so big!! :(
- She really loves her Little Lamb swing. She loves to watch the mobile go around and around. We actually have a new mobile for her crib that I think she is going to love from Nana and Papa.
- She loves laying on her tummy. If only she could sleep on her tummy at night, we might not have to get up. We let her sleep on her tummy during the day when she is napping!
- She got a glow worm from Grandma and Papa P and she likes to look at that while I change her diaper. She isn't a big fan of her diaper being changed, especially in this cold weather!
- She is still wearing newborn clothes and diapers. It was so cold the other night, I actually put her in a 3 months outfit. The pants had to be rolled up quite a bit, but her fleece pullover seemed to fit pretty good. She has a closet and dresser full of clothes, but only about 5 outfits that she can wear out. I'm ready for this cold weather to go, so I can put her bows in her hair. Her daddy thinks she needs a toboggan on at all times.
- She is on a pretty good schedule. We try to bathe her and have her in bed by 10. She gets up around 2 and again around 5 or 6. I nurse her and change her diaper(s) and then lay her in bed with Josh to get back to sleep. YES, she sleeps with us, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!
- She isn't quite sure about bath time. She does however love when daddy holds her while I bathe her or when she gets a shower with me! She also doesn't like to have lotion applied to her body. I try to warm the lotion up in my hands before applying, but it still doesn't seem to help!
- She loves her carseat and is a super traveler. She usually sleeps the whole time when we travel home. We have almost tried letting her sleep in it at night.
- As I am typing this, I am reminded of her little personality. When she is gassy, she just thinks it is the funniest thing! She will pass gas and then put a HUGE smile on her face afterwards!! It is so funny!
Ella getting weighed in the nail bin at the hardware store!
We can't believe she is already 6 weeks! She has changed so much since her BIRTHday! I can only imagine how much joy she will bring us in the coming weeks, months, and years!

We let Emory sleep in her car seat! We lay the carseat in her pack n' play, pad it down so it will be comfy for her, and she loves it! I'd definitely recommend it!
