Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6

Josh and I dedicated Ella to the Lord Sunday, April 18th at Ino Baptist, the church where it all began for us just a little over 8 years ago. It was a sweet service that was witnessed by many loving family members and friends. Ella wore my gown that I was dedicated in 23 years ago. It meant alot to me that she was able to wear my dress. She looked absolutely beautiful. Following Ella's dedication, we had our family over for lunch at the lakehouse! It was a beautiful, beautiful day for such a special event.
Josh and I thank the Lord for blessing us with families that know the Lord and raised us up in Christian homes. We thank the Lord for blessing us with a precious, beautiful, happy, and most importantly healthy daughter. We thank the Lord for giving us a chance to be Ella's parents and to raise her up to know Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior one day. And we thank the Lord already for what he is going to do in Ella's life as she grows.
Ella is 5 months old
Ella turned 5 months old on May 1st. Wow, she is changing everyday and it is kind of sad!!A few things about my sweet 5 month old...
-She is laughing and talking so much more. It is so sweet!
-She loves, loves to chew on her feet.
-Not only does she love her feet, but she loves anything that she can put in her mouth.
-She is still in size 1 diapers and is pretty much completely in 6 month clothes.
-She loves all of her baby food. I'm glad she didn't take after her father, bc he is super picky! We have given her all of the stage 1 and stage 2 veggies and fruits and we can't get it in there fast enough.
-She loves to be outside! She can be whining and you take her outside and she is happy again!
-She doesn't so much love her carseat. She is good for a part of the time that she is in it, but I don't know if I would much blame her.
-She hates socks and shoes on her feet. But if I remember correctly, I did too!
- And last but not least, she weighed 12.9 and was 24 inches long.
Ella, I can't believe you are already 5 months old. You are truly the light of our life.
My First Mother's Day
My first Mother's Day was super special. Being a mom is the best gift in the world. From looking into her eyes the day God brought her into this world, to the many, many dirty diapers that I have changed, the spit up that has covered my clothes, and the many days of restless nights. I wouldn't trade them for anything. It is worth every minute I was sick while carrying her and every needle that I had to be poked with those long 9 months!! Nothing I could ever say could express how blessed I am to be a MOM!To my wonderful mom, mother-in-law, grandmothers, and all my others aunts and friends that have been like mothers to me over the years, THANK YOU! You all mean the world to me and I thank the Lord each day for putting you in my life. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. I love you!
